Aims 

This study aims to determine the prevalence of specific antibodies (IgG) for the vaccine-preventable diseases for which the vaccines are included in the Portuguese National Vaccination Programme (PNV):
  • Bordetella pertussis
  • Corynebacterium diphteriae
  • Clostridium tetani
  • Haemophilus influenzae tipo b
  • Hepatitis A virus
  • Hepatitis B virus (HBsAg, anti-HBs, anti-HBc)
  • Mumps virus
  • Poliovirus – type 1
  • Poliovirus – type 3
  • Rubella virus
  • Measles virus



For sexually transmitted infections will be performed the detection of Chlamydia trachomatis nucleic acid in urine and the prevalence of specific IgG antibodies for the following agents:
  • Treponema pallidum
  • Hepatitis C virus
  • HIV
